Hannah Weston | Jewellery Making Retreat | Sunday 22nd June 2025
10am - 4pm
Beginners Jewellery Ring Workshop and Woodland retreat
Join us for a day of wellbeing, relaxation and creativity in the beautiful surroundings of the old walled garden and woodland.
On our jewellery retreat day Hannah will gently guide you through the creative process to design and make a silver ring from scratch that you can take away with you at the end of the day.
The morning will begin by gathering inspiration from the garden and sketching out your ideas, taking a little time and space to start the day in a mindful, relaxing and peaceful way.
You then move across to the workshop to use what you’ve gathered to help you create a piece of jewellery that is totally unique to you. The act of being creative and physically make something is a great way to take a bit of time out. Whether you want a moment for yourself or quality time with friends or family, the retreat provides an inspirational and relaxed environment in which to get to grips with the time honoured traditional art of jewellery making. It allows you to let your imagination run wild and unleash the creativity you maybe didn't know you had.
After a delicious lunch in the Walled Garden you will wander down into the woodland and sit under the canopy of the trees for some quiet breath work and space for reflection. Leaving your phones and watches in the workshop, Clarey will then guide you through a short Forest Bathing session in order to help you destress, relax and unwind before you head home. Forest bathing is an ancient Japanese practice known in Japan as shinrin yoku. The simple method of being calm and quiet amongst the trees, observing nature around you whilst breathing deeply can help you de-stress and boost health and wellbeing in a natural way. It can even be done in the rain as we have some beautiful awnings to sit under and listen to the sound of the rain hitting the canvas roof.
Weather permitting we will end the day with a hot drink and piece of cake round the camp fire.
Closest train stations Darlington, Northallerton or Yarm. (Taxi or pick ups can be arranged but please get in touch when booking to discuss).
