True North Trades | Blacksmith Workshops | Sunday 8th June 2025

£55.00

2hr Blacksmith workshop with lunch or tea

Making a bottle opener

10 spaces available per session

This workshop is suitable for adults and older children aged 12+ (children must be accompanied by an adult and have a minimum height of 4ft 5”).

Participants must have reasonable hand and arm strength to hold the tools and reach the anvil at a safe height.

We feel very lucky to have the boys from True North Trades visiting this June with their travelling forge to teach beginners blacksmith and metalwork skills in a day of workshops. Featured on Robson Green’s Weekend escapes this February, the boys are already making a name for themselves up North and so it’s a real coup to have them for the day.

Each session is 2 hours long and capped at a maximum of 10 participants per group. You will work with Darren and learn the techniques used by blacksmiths for over 1000 years and discover how to turn a lump of scrap metal into an awesome rustic bottle opener. With Father’s Day just around the corner the bottle opener makes a brilliant and unique present for Dad/Granddad. A place on one of the metal working workshops also makes a wonderful gift.

After a busy couple of hours designing, prepping and forging your bottle opener you can wander over to the Walled Garden for a delicious homemade lunch/tea, washed down with a cold beer or hot cup of tea and slice of cake.

If you book both a Blacksmithing workshop and a Copper Rose workshop together please text me on 07779 025606 for a £10 discount code to be used at checkout.

Limited places and booking essential.

We're expecting these workshops to be very popular, so please reserve your place as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
